Gary Davies

President and Founder

Mr. Davies is responsible for the day to day operations of the company. He handles oversight of all business matters and is responsible for the direction of the company. He has a long history of developing shopping centers, free-standing single tenant buildings, offices, and industrial parks.

David Hill

President and Founder

Mr. Hill is an advisor to the senior management of Cape Asset Management and he actively manages various special projects. He has a 28 year real estate development and asset management career that includes numerous shopping centers, land developments and free-standing buildings.

Elliott Davies joined Cape in May 2022 as Development Manager. Elliott earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Data Analytics from Furman University in 2022. His educational background, combined with his industry perspective and analytical approach, allows him to contribute to the company’s continued growth and operational success.

Ivan Hill

Carrie McNeil

Director of Asset Management

Mrs. McNeil is the Director of Asset Management for Cape Asset Management. Her focus is on leasing retail space within Cape’s property portfolio. In addition to leasing, she is involved with the acquisitions and dispositions of improved property and outparcels. She is also involved in working with other departments within Cape as it pertains to financing, insurance and property management. Mrs. McNeil has over 20 years of commercial brokerage and development experience. She began her career in Cincinnati, Ohio as a retail broker. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2005 and continued in retail brokerage where she eventually moved into both a broker and development role. Mrs. McNeil has been with Cape Asset Management since 2013. Mrs. McNeil graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in Marketing/Commercial Real Estate. Years of Experience: 20

David Bertsch

Mr. Bertsch is Director of Property Management for Cape Asset Management. The Company manages more than 2 million sf of retail properties in six states. The portfolio consists of more than 400 tenants representing approximately 39 million in annual revenue. Mr. Bertsch has 20+ years of commercial property management experience in Class A office, Retail, Data Center, Industrial and Medical Office properties. He holds a North Carolina Real Estate Broker License, Six Sigma Certification as well as Real Property Administrator (RPM) Designation. Mr. Bertsch graduated from Florida International University with a B.S. in Communication. Years of Experience: 25

Barrett Trapnell

Director of Human Resources

Cape’s Human Resources Director, Barrett Trapnell, has been a valued member of the team since 2018, bringing more than two decades of human resources experience to the organization. Since beginning his HR career in 2001, Barrett has built a diverse background working for one of the world’s largest companies, gaining expertise across all aspects of human resources, including processes, procedures, talent development, and organizational growth. He partners closely with leadership to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent that drives outstanding results for clients. A graduate of Radford University and holder of a PHR certification, Barrett values Cape’s family-owned culture and commitment to supporting and developing its team members. Outside of work, he is proud of his daughter’s pursuit of a dental degree at Medical University of South Carolina and has applied leadership skills gained through military service to coaching high school lacrosse in the Charlotte area. senior leadership to create, implement and manage. Dylan Ritch

Chief Financial Officer

Dylan Ritch is the Chief Financial Officer of Cape Asset Management, where he oversees the company’s accounting, finance, and strategic financial operations across its real estate investment and development portfolio. In his role as CFO, Mr. Ritch is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, banking and lender relationships, treasury management, financial analysis, internal controls, tax coordination, and oversight of day-to-day accounting operations. He also works closely with executive leadership on strategic planning, capital structuring, investment analysis, operational efficiency initiatives, and long-term financial decision-making.

Mr. Ritch is originally from the east side of Charlotte in Mint Hill and earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Washington and Lee University. He also received his Master of Accounting degree from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

With nearly a decade of experience across a variety of accounting and finance roles, Mr. Ritch has developed expertise in corporate finance, real estate finance, financial reporting, operational accounting, budgeting, and strategic planning. His background combines strong technical accounting knowledge with practical leadership experience supporting complex real estate operations and organizational growth.

Ms. Rhue is the Real Estate Controller for Cape Asset Management with over 5 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting. Known for a strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail, she has successfully led financial operations for organizations ranging from residential to commercial real estate corporations. In her current role at Cape Asset Management, Ms. Rhue oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance, ensuring that financial practices align with regulatory standards and support long-term business goals. A trusted advisor to executive leadership, she plays a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing cash flow, and driving financial efficiency.
